Driver Scorecard

A score every driver can read, check and improve.

Each driver gets a safety score out of 100, built from reviewed events per 100 km. The score lists exactly which events moved it, sends one practical coaching tip at a time and highlights the drivers who deserve a reward at the end of the month.

What moved the score

Harsh braking-9
Over-speeding-5
Drowsiness (reviewed)-4
Phone use0

9,412 km driven - 3.1 events per 100 km

Tomorrow's tip: Ease off 200 m before speed breakers on the Nashik bypass. 6 of your 9 harsh brakes were there.
How it works

Four stops from fitting to results.

  1. Events are reviewed

Only events confirmed by your safety team count towards the score. False alerts are thrown out.

  2. Score is calculated

Events are weighted by severity and divided by distance driven, so long-haul drivers are not punished for driving more.

  3. Driver sees it

Drivers open their own score in the driver app, with the clip and reason for each deduction.

  4. Coach and reward

Supervisors get a short coaching list each morning and a reward list at the end of each month.

Capabilities

What Driver Scorecard does on every trip.

  • Score out of 100, normalised per 100 km driven
  • Every point explained by the event that caused it
  • One coaching tip at a time, sent to the driver app
  • Monthly safe driver rankings by depot

Fair by distance

Scores are per 100 km, so a driver doing 12,000 km a month is compared fairly with one doing 3,000 km.

Explained line by line

Each deduction shows the event, time, place and clip. No black-box numbers.

Coaching tips

One focused tip at a time, for example easing off before speed breakers, delivered in the driver language.

Safe driver rewards

Monthly leaderboards by depot and route to support bonus and recognition programmes you already run.

Trend over time

See whether a driver is improving week on week after coaching, not just where they stand today.

Driver app access

Drivers see their own score, history and tips, and can raise a query on any event they disagree with.

Reading the display

Four colours. No guessing.

The same signal colours run through the map, the driver app and every report, so a supervisor on the night shift knows what to do at a glance.

  • 90 to 100

    Safe driver, eligible for rewards

  • 75 to 89

Good, with one area to coach

  • 60 to 74

Needs a coaching conversation this week

  • Below 60

    Supervisor ride-along recommended

Driver-first AI

Cameras that look out for drivers, not over them.

Drivers are told first

Drivers are clearly informed about in-cab cameras and how footage is used, as part of their employment terms, before any camera is switched on.

Events, not identities

The AI detects safety events such as closed eyes or a phone in hand. It does not use face recognition for surveillance.

A person always reviews

Alerts are for coaching and safety. No driver is penalised on an AI alert without a person reviewing the clip.

Scores are explained

Driver scores show exactly which events affected them, and every driver can see their own score.

Clips stay private

Video clips are kept only for the set retention period, visible only to authorised safety staff, and never sold.

Supports the law

Safekarry supports, but does not replace, safe driving rules, rest-hour limits and road-safety laws.

Questions

About Driver Scorecard

Need a fleet-specific answer? Connect with sales.

Can drivers see their own score?

Yes. Every driver can see their score, the events behind it and the coaching tips in the driver app on Android.

What if an alert was wrong?

The driver or supervisor can raise a query on any event. If the reviewer agrees it was a false alert, it is removed and the score is recalculated.

Is there a driver app?

Yes. The Android driver app shows trips, rest stops, score and coaching tips, and is used to capture proof of delivery photos.
